(Over the next few ‘insights’ I will be coming back to some what is expressed here) Recently I came across this idea, that our brains can be fuelled either by joy or fear. As I delved more deeper, I was shocked at how much fear was fuelling my brain. Fear being that unpleasant emotion caused by the threat of danger, pain, or harm. Ironically, even as I am sitting here writing this, it has been a tough & frustrating week, with my health (I suffer from Chronic Fatigue) not at its best, with fear feeling more at the forefront of my life than Joy. The problem in all this was I did not realise this was happening and I was not making a choice to be Joyful, I was defaulting to ‘fuel by fear’. So in this ‘insight’ I am going to pose the question to you. Joy or Fear - You Choose? and we are going to explore this a bit more together. In future insights we will build on this further looking at ways we can foster more joy and create an atmosphere that impacts those around us.
