Whether it is a date with your spouse, the release of a new movie or simply the end of the work day, your spirits lift and you feel more joyful, because you are anticipating how good it is going to be. So always make sure you have something in your diary to look forward to. 2] Belong to a Community ⛪️In these pandemic times, where connecting in community has been more difficult you can see the ‘joy’ deficit or void that was created as gathering in community became increasingly difficult. There is a joy associated with being with others, being united in heart and sharing a common interest and love. Just look at a packed sporting stadium or in Churches on a Sunday, there is tangible joy present. So connect with others in community. 3] Unlock your Memories 📸 From time to time, I go onto our ‘family dropbox’ and look through our family photos and memories. As soon as I do this, my family gather round asking to look at pictures of when they were younger. It is not long before we are laughing as we remember those family moments. Revisiting your best memories and moments, cultivates joy. It links us back to being thankful.
